What is this I hear that they'll be discontinued, I don't believe it. Will they still support the 9000 series that people have with still doing recones?? If they really discontinue then do I'll be very very mad

they will always give support, i.e. with re-cones, but it maybe hard getting a matching one if you wanted a pair and you only have one at present.

The current 9000 is 4 yrs old and getting older. if you plan on getting a second 9000 I suggest you do it now while the 20% off sale is on. You can always get recones in the future.

DD tech said if one of the 9000 series woofers blows up or anything of that nature they will fix it.

something tells me that if they get rid of the 9000 they will probobly replace it with something else...but maybe not...because the 9000 series is probobly less popular because people who want an SPL sub will get the beefier 9500 and people who don't want to compete but still want DD will get the 3500's because they are cheaper...the 9000 is good but I would say that most likely there are 2 types of people in car audio...the competitors and the cheap skates, and if that is true then the 9000 probobly didn't sell too well because neither group would want it

sometimes if you ask nice enough they can make certain models once they have been discontinued. Most of the parts are shared with other drives, frame, cone, surround, spiders, voice coils and magents. One of the things that differ on the 9000 is the top and bottom plate.

Perhaps the 9100 series I asked DD about last year will be coming. Anyone have any info on this?

no problems...just make sure you treat that 9015 right by giving it plenty of space and keeping its voice coils nice n warm
