I'm not exactly sure when I'll be getting them, hopefully ordering within a few days but I'll need to get an amp that'll drive them so that'll take a lil while more (no job now, wrestling..ends at beginning of march) so it might be till around then that I have them installed..just wanna go ahead and get them before they run out or price changes or something, nahmean?
I've seen many ideas for box... 1.4, 1.5 sealed.. 2.5 ported.. 1.75 ported...
I'm going to do quite a bit more research since I have plenty of time to do so before I get the amp...
chances are though I'll run a ported box for everyday use and sealed for when I need more trunk space
sorry bout all this, I really wanna get them in soon but I doubt it'll happen till a few months down the road...
however I can share other numbers with you...let me look some up really quickly, one guy ran 4 and he said it was a little bit louder than 2 HCCAS...
a 143.7 was done with 2 XTR's, the pros have about double the xmax and power handling he said..
144.3 certified on a termpro mic and 147.7 on a local shop mic with 2 XTRPRO 15D's and one Cadence A7000+ (450 X 2 @ 2 Ohms)...(keep in mind these are 15s, sealed i believe)
"almost hit 150 with a pair in a prelude. But don't expect 150's. Just givin #'s." and "2 12's 149.somthing, not bad."-- came from raganoo on SD speaking of XtremeHonda on there, i found out they were 10s.. (http://www.sounddomain.com/id/xtremehonda)
"A guy I work with has these in a box, slot ported, just over 1ft^3 each, with an Orion XTR 500.2 powering them. He's got an 89' Mustang. These things will knock the wind out of you at half volume. They are clean and loud. These are only getting 250 watts a piece and they slam." --RobsotherMob from SD
"XTRpro, would be my choice. Friend has one 12" in a ported box, and it SLAMS in the back of his jeep cherokee. "
hope that'll give you an idea...i say you can hit mid 145s if ya do a lil bit of work with em..
so if you get them setup before me please e-mail me with what you think...
