I have a 97 4 door yukon.
I am looking for a good enclosure for this sub. Can anyone give me some ideas on the box and port and wjat that will tune it to? It will be be powered by a PHD2 at first and then finally by a pair of D2's. I have all kinds of room. Can't be a one note wonder.
Thanks

About 38Hz sounds nice and hits well.
5 cubic foot and 70 sqin of port or so would be a good start.

A port about 19.5" long would tune you around 38 hz.. Thats if you use a 5 cube box with 70 sq inches of port.

Let me know if you need any more help.. And keep in mind, I only live about 25 minutes away

If you want loud spl go 6.5 after port displacement with 100 sq in port 18 inches deep.

If you want TOTAL MADD LOW BASS THAT WILL CHOKE YOU
go 5 cubic foot with 60 sq inches of port
24 inches deep that will take your head off. We did that box in a bronco with 6 shocker 15s and 3 d2 amps It peaked anywhere
from 35-45 hz Loudest probley around 40 hz
it was nuts !

(i want to do something like this with my xtremes, but the box design looks kinda difficult...)

make a L shaped port
you can do it as long as its a 90deg L shape
...just make sure when measuring the TOTAL LENGTH OF THE PORT< you have to measure COMPLETELY down the center of the port, not the actually length of all the wood used, that was my mistake once....

By any chance do you have any pictures of that box? I have an 86' Bronco and I trying to decide what to put in it. Im looking for some low bass not loud. I really only want to put a max of maybe 3 subs in it.
