Ok, I have been getting different opinions on what to do with these subs so I will post here and hopefully get more.
2- atomic thunder extremes 12"
1- us 2000x or concept 2400d
1 1987 crx street car
I have roughly 35x32x11 to work with. we ran wires and put a radio in yesterday and hooked up my 2000x to jl12w3 d-2's and the amp went into protection about half way up. I assume this is because the alternator sucks in the crx cause the same set up does 149-150 in my eclipse without ever going into protection.
Tomorrow we are building the box and putting in a concept 2400d. I wont see the subs until monday.
I need opinions on box size, port size, port length, and port placement.
Thanks in advance for any help

go to www.atomicthunder.com and look for the 12" sub box dimensions. it is 2.7 cubic feet before sub and port displacement i think. don't know about the ports. later

Hey Kramer it's Tom Adams...remember the minivan from Allentown. Anyway those are the subs that I use and I have been playing with them quite a bit and so far the recomended box (2.7cu ft) has been the best, but I am still trying new things...also, take my word for it you will hate yourself for running those subs on a 2400d...use the 2000X and get dual 1ohm coils, wire it to 1ohm and they rise to almost 4ohms in the box at 55hz...it is a match made in heaven for that 2000x

Also, why are you switching cars...you would need double the point you already have (so you would have to get up to like 170points) to be able to use it at finals so what is the point this late in the season?

all i would need to get is 50 points in the new car to be able to take it to finals . the subs are already on its way and they are dual 2 ohm so i cant change that. I was borrowing the concept, i will probably get a d2. thanks for the help !!!!!
