I'm deciding between two 10" subs. I'm gonna put them in a sealed enclosure that will be .7 cu. ft., and I'm gonna feed them with 225 watts. I'm either going to get a Rockford XLC's or JBL GT's. I WANT THEM TO HIT!!!!!!!

IMO Go with the JBL's. I've used them. They hit. The thing is that with Rockford, you are partially paying for the name. I went to a 13% above cost sale at best buy, and got JBL 5 1/2s for about 35 bucks. The RF equivalent was about 50. At normal price, the JBLs were 79.99, and the rockford's were 64.99, and the JBL's were much better. JBL was also used for the sound system in my local 10 screen movie theatre. I worked there, and man, was that stuff nice. HUGE SUBS!

Lenzflare~ I think that you got the wrong store because BB nevered carried JBL and RF at the same time and they don't run a sale like the one you mentioned. As the RF have a very good mark up as many others on here will agree to.

Yeah, i agree with them. Go with the JBL's . you cant beat the price, $50 for a good ten? 60 for a twelve? And They have a great warranty on them.

........and like you don't pay for the JBL name.......
We've got a major chain here that pushes JBL. I would place build quality and reliability at only so-so. On the other hand, I can't remember when the last time was we sent in an RF woofer for repair.....

I would go with JBL. Don't get me wrong, the Punch DVC is the better speaker, but with 225 watts a piece the JBL GT will hit harder because it is more efficient. Now if he had 400-500 watts a piece, that would be a different story...
BTW, the JBLs last long, too. My friend has a JBL DVC and it has been abused for 5 years and still sounds great!
