Just got my Car & Sound today, and it had the new Jbl gti 1200 and 1500's. These things look like a klingon ship from star trek, good lord.

Does anyone have any info on these $1000 woofers???

I tried to tell everyone that JBL ruled but no one listened..j/k, I heard they are supposed to take 8,000w a sub and soon JBL is gonna make the amps to do it.. like two class d amps bridged together to make 4k per coil or something?? Not sure, are they really $1000 each..WOW

If I'm not mistaken i dont think the GTi subs are out yet but I might be wrong, you prolly heard the old gtis which are an ok subs but the new JBL subs are supposed to be able to hang with all the big SPL subs. cant wait to get a hold of one or two and see what they can do!!!

JBL has been planning on releasing the "new" GTi for two years now...still nothing. They had adds for it in magazines at this time LAST year. I doubt it will take 8000 watts for anything but a second burp. It does look like an awesome sub, if it ever comes out. Oh, and the current generation GTis are great subs. If only more people knew about them. laters

I hope its better than the W7 HEHE!
But seriously it will be cool to see JBL make an attempt at a big dog SPL sub. They need something to match their amps.
