PAP Moab

custom cooling in the motor. looks very similar to a 4hp with a few revisions. audiopulse is a 4hp.. IIRC quite a few of the subs mentioned here. TRF,Cactus,Soundstream XXX.... from what I recall even the original TSNS tho some people may say otherwise lol.

I've been looking into them. but at the current top of my list would be Atomic ApXX or XXX which I heard was in the worx a while back. only because they're WELL proven to handle abuse [Smile] . but from what I've heard about the Atomics they will absorb whatever you want to throw at them... I think the Moab and ApXX use 9" spiders tho as they're typical 6 spoke 18" venezuela baskets... here's a link to the moab

http://pierceaudioproducts.com/forum/index.php/topic,162.60.html

cooling in the pole piece, cooling in the back plate. custom vents cut into the basket [Big Grin]

the 15" version they use a venezuela basket with a 10" basket outter frame as a spider landing to accomadate 10" spiders. back on page 1 I believe. but I like the cooling part the most. not as elaborate as DD or even the soloX nor is the former vented like the Orion HCCA but the motor is nice and overall I like the parts they have available to use... going to order a few parts from them to build a top for my 4hp and see what I can do with it...

any sub with the 4hp motor.

They have been the loudest I've tested as far as 4'' coils goes (used cactus soft parts)

J.Demuth.
are there any pics of this woofer??
I would be first in line but for over 6mo all I have seen are empty promises of an uber woofer.

If they become available and I can actually purchase some I will completely apologize but if not I honestly feel you owe your customers and the community as a whole an apology. A delay is understandable but for a short time this is a cop out. And even here you don't give any sort of a concrete date. There is a guy on another forum who has built a box and an entire system around this mystery driver PLEASE don't let him down. I would love to be a fan, I have spoken to you several times on the phone and you really do seem like a personable man. But in order to save integrity you really need to produce this driver very soon and in a large enough number to meet the demand that a great woofer would create in a market literally crying out for it. As of this moment I'm calling B.S. on the 08 T.S.N.S. and Boogie monster hell it's november already. PLEASE prove me wrong.

Well its one thing to make a subwoofer loud with a burp at higher than normal frequencies its a whole other subwoofer if it can do those same numbers at or below 40 hz. I don't think what I am looking for is made right now by any company. If you think there is one post a link to pictures/specs.

The Cactus,Soundstreamxxx,GZ and others with the 5200/4hp type of motor are on the right track, I just don't think they are there yet with a 4" coil design.

Don have you looked at acoupower? they have a 6" coil and are designed for extended high power. they have been tested to be in line with the LMS Ultras and RE XXX in terms of SQ and excusion. the big drawback is that they are svc 8hom which leaves me out or I would already be running them.

Don PLEASE make these wooffers yourself and make them available to the rest of us I miss the good ol' days when you were making drivers as good as or better than the rest for a good price I LOVED my 15" INHUMAN p.s. youdaman!

Don you cant go wrong with atomics 4" coils. my apxx 15's with 3" coils have taken more abuse then any other sub i've owned. and im talking daily abuse at very low frequencies. way more durable then my fi btls i have. My system is daily oriented in my sig and my apxx's never break a sweat. I would def consider atomic as ur top choice def for the price. im sure T3's are amazing subs but i cant afford those.

OK we found another one that actually may fit the description. That coil is either sitting high off center or it is one BIG(tall) coil. It appears to be designed for straight up excursion, heat and lows. Does it have a pole vent? Also I like those baskets because it allows me to use my IR/Lazer temp sensor on the coils so I can monitor the coil temp from the dash.

Steve do you know the coil specs, gap height and some T/S numbers just to get an idea of the sub. So far this seems the closest to what I meant in my original post. And from whats visible it has a nice glue job also you don't see that much these days.

It looks like a Fi/Ascendent Audio/TC Sounds frankenstein woofer. I'm sure that will be a pretty bad ass sub when put to the test.

Well Steve if you think these can take 5kwrms daily and want me to test four 15" dual 1 ohm subs let me know. If these subs will hold and do 157-160@30hz without busting You will definitely sell a lot of them starting with mine. You can check out the build on my facebook page.
