I'm thinking long and hard about getting some Jackhammers just to show people what they may be capabe of. That price is a bit absurd though. I'll have to get a deal for sure..

if you notice the video or watch the show, it doesn't show exactely where the mic is placed. That is one reason it didn't meter well. Two if you notice, the back of the truck is open and they are directed out the back. I know the direction wont do much, actually it does in some cars, but the open enviroment and mic placement tells alot. They need to show more on those two things. That way we all would know, but sure they never will for the spl lovers we are. They aim more for the ones that just want to see the rides and not care to much.

Actually it maxed out at 136dB on an Audiocontrol mic
They didn't show where the mic was and the back of the truck was open, but still that's so weak it's embarrassing to people like us who knows what's going on. Actually I already emailed MTX about that show and how it is bad publicity for the Jackhammer since it's the "biggest baddest subwoofer" but couldn't get louder than two $50 12" Lanzar Max.
When you have two 22" pistons and more than 10k watts but still can't get louder than a typical dual 12" woofer setup on paper then that means something is really, really wrong.

Those subs arent worth the boxes they come in. They are not good for SPL at all, They are too stiff, cones are too heavy, efficiency is way too low, xmax is not even that great.
1 18" T3 would be much, much better, and cheaper

Actually, I think our neighbor, Mike Heddon, probably makes the worlds loudest subs. He is co-owner of Danley Sound Labs and DB Research. They are next door to us.
Rumor has it he designed the new superconcentrated sound technology that the government is looking into. I know it can knock a house down, and heard rumors of flipping tanks... Look it up!
