Holy S**t for starters bartender how ar u pushing those subs with your deck.Your deck is not capable of doing this and your going to fry something inside definetly. I'm not sure as the rating for these subs but i'll check it up and if u want a suggestion on an amp give me a price and a brand name and maybe i can be of help. Also for the ports its just fine where they are but make sure they arent blocked and also face the subs towards the trunk lid.As for the sound difference this is a normal thing try opening your windows abit and see the difference.

maybe a mtx amp,the subs are 8ohm each so i was told to run them in parell, when i get a amp, will it really burn something in my stereo if i keep running the subs with only the stereo power????

Yep I can't believe they even hooked up. Something should be smoking. If your looking for an Mtx amp a good amp for those subs would be a Thunder 2150x around 500watts or the smaller Thunder 275x. Yes and run both subs in parrallel to get a 4 ohm load and run the amp at 4ohm mono.If money is a factor u may consider a Mtx Road Thunder amp they are a bit cheaper.

Dude, you are lucky you havn't fried the deck yet, or done something ot mess up the subs. As far as an amp, I would have to agree if you want to keep all the same brand, which some do, try the road thunder for right now just to start, and if you decide to upgrade then go with the blue thunder. Or with all rockford, whichever you prefer. MTX is pretty damn loud though.

i dont understand why you guys think he is going to fry his head unit if they are 8ohm speakers and has it wired stereo to two rear channels of head unit all head unit see,s is two 8ohm loads doesnt matter if they are 1" tweeters or 18" subs its not going to work very well but it shouldnt hurt anything maybe im wrong just my 2 cents
