building 2 seperate boxes where back seat was in civic coupe. each box will be 18" W X 22"D x 32"H, kicker book calls for port being 3.5" X 16.25" X 13.75" long, what will this be tuned to and does that sound like enough air space? car is for daily driver and each sub will have 1 kx1200.1 wired to 1 ohm each. thanks for help

i ran your box numbers through win isd, and it seems to be tuned at around 37.9. and thats with a interal volume of 5.32 cft. in other words your box will be perfect. you should do pretty good with 2 boxes like that in the back of your civic. you might also play with your box some by adding 45's to the corners. 45's can decrease resistance of air flow thru the port if done right. but if an extra db here and there doesnt matter then just go with a basic rectangle. you could try the 45's after you build the box by just temporarily duct taping the side rear corners. good luck
