Hi guys,

Im new to all this DD business, and wanted to know what the a,b,c,d,e,f, and so on on the end of the 9900 series means, Im looking to get one (a 9917) and dont know what to look for haha

sorry if this is already gone over but I just needed a quick answer...

Oh and my background

Well my last system was a RE sx in an 11cuft sealed box, running off of a Viper 1200.1d.

(Yes, I love the low bass haha)

And, well, Im getting rid of that car (91 Caprice 9c1, HUGE trunk) to a 91 mustang convertible, Im I'm selling both the Sx's I had to get one stupid loud daily driver that will be inside a box behind the drivers seat of the convertible (actually, it's going to take up the whole back half of the cabin, Im doing a rear seat delete) So I'm going to have about 6 1/2 cuft to deal with, and it's going to be ported, so I was thinking 2 15's or 1 18. So I'm gonna need some advice on which woofer would meet my standards.

By the way, I'm not going to use that amp again, I was thinking going bigger haha

Thanks,
Blake

Oh and another thing, If you're interested in the RE 18sx's, the link is http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=167855

That letter after the model number is like the advancements they have made to the sub. For example an 9500e is of course prior MAKE to an f series. Most of the time its MOTOR changes that they have made, but soft parts are changed a lil too. No matter what your getting good product trust me [Smile]

digital designs are the shi+ they take the power and dont break unless you really abuse them. i have two 9915'c and they have been in my car all year (got them in December) i used them all year not just to compete but for daily driving and they have not let me down. i am powering them with 4 earthquake PHD 5000'S one on each coil and they wail!!!!!!Congrats on a good choice in subs and i gurantee you'll like them better than those re's. dont forget that DD makes amps too, you might want to check them out......good luck
