Welp, I tore off the cone/spiders and whatnot and now I can't get the magnet off. The screws are glued to the baskets and I don't want to strip the screws. How do you guys solve this??

I wanted to recone it to a 15" but I guess not with that hardcore glue. Guess I'll just have to keep it as an 18 [Smile] RE said that I don't have to worry about the XBL^2 stuff, all of that would be taken care of and I would just have to glue the spiders and cone and then I would be set.

You can get a impact hammer screw driver. they work really good. You can get it at AutoZone. What you do is stick it in the the head of the screw and tap it with a hammer while you are taping it with a hammer it is turning it out,and it will break it lose. Good to have if you are going to recone alot.

Sweet, I don't think I can spend cash on an impact screwdriver though. And yeah, well, since I'm stupid and all I thought I had the screw taken out but no...I STRIPPED IT!!! I thought it was coming out nice and smooth and was really happy about it. Not the case. I'll work on it some more today.

No, he's not talking about an impact wrench. He's talking about these little metal thing that holds a screwdriver bit at the end. It basically looks like a metal handle, you put it in like a screwdriver, then hit the back of it with a hammer, and it turns the bit.
