The SX was louder for me than the 3512 in a street application, not sure about the SE though.

Sounds like you should be comparing the 1000 series DD to the SE if the max power handling is 1000w. The 1000 series loves 400wrms. The 3500 is way more subwoofer and has a suspension made for a way higher power range.

um i had 8oowatts going to my se..and now that the other se12 is working i have about 7 and change going to each of them the max power on the se12 is 1200. my se's get really loud and hit the lows real nice...when my epic is on ..omg its gets nutz in my car..and the pressure is tremendous...so the se get my vote..its a hard sub to beat for its price
