Thunder, well we had the 03CVR18's in the DVC setup, then most street apps took away and didn't use much 18's. If people wanted 18's for compeition, the X 18 came in...now if we could do a Kicker CVX18".

If the new series is built to thermally handle more, what would be some accurate RMS ratings of the new and old chrome look L7s?

Don't know what someone changed, but I installed a few CVR18's. Not bad by any means, but not the same,,,, just not the same.
Now; you "con" the boys on the 3rd floor to ditch the regular comps for a year, and let My boy "Dan" slide in with the "Old School". I am talking from the D-20 to the C 18-4, It will be on then! Hell, I might just have to re-build "Black Beauty!" I been having dreams about it. (It's ok. I'm seeing someone about it.)
Hell man, even RF (cough,,, cough,,, sorry) did a retro line.
Just giving Ya a hard time.

Gosh, that thing was loud. As "Rob L." just how loud it was in Vegas! (Hell, I'll bet they still cringe, when you guys come to town!)
I thought, I heard a rumor that you guys were looking to build a few ground pounders? (or did I dream it? (Really good meds man,,))
F.Y.I You can get 20-24 L7 15's in a tall Dodge Sprinter van. 45deg wedges, all subs on the same plane. (HE!HE!HE!) (Yea, I still look at vehicles like we did in the 80's. HUmmmm.. how many subs can, I get in this thing???)
Just trying to bring it back..... WAY BACK!

NOPE.. take that mans cookie away! You are remembering the old Dodge. 12x 18's in two clam shell boxes, with the top box above and slightly behind the lower one.
Black Beauty was the old Astro van. 9x 18's with a 45deg wedge on the bottom and a clam shell above and three subs wide. The Dodge could not hold a candle to the astro. Just because the dodge had subs on 2 different planes. That van only gained ONE DB when you turned on the other 6 subs.
Don't get me wrong. The dodge was a BAD!! vehicle. Just ask the Hilton in Alphereta(sp) Georga. [Tech Marketing dealer show 1990est.] We ticked off the entire hotel with one burp. HE!HE!HE! [those people had no sence of humor...]
To me, The simple installer who wont let go of the past. This is the type of vehicle I would like to see you guys build again. "GROUND POUNDERS! A cop should write you a noise violation ticket, just by looking at it!!!
I realize I am not a focus group but I bet you could get one put together on here.

Thunder, sorry, should have been more clear...I meant to say yea, I remebr that van, and the Dodge we (Chuck McClennan, Bob Norvelle and Gator) made...but yes, that Astro is what got Chuck and those guys motivated to build the Monster van.
The Astro if I remeber right has FX69's in the dash! Linear Power 5002's on each 18", 9 18" woofers, and a slew of F65's and D20's in the door...right :)Used to knock stuff off the walls of the Kicker building. and digiing older, Ray's black Mustang with 4 Kicker 18's, laying the windshield on the hood
do I get my cookie back..LOL

Just to clarify. The dodge van, did you guys build a new one with the 12x 18's or rebuild the rolling demo room. The Demo room dodge had lots of product and prebuilts in it with a modded MTI switcher (12v). Ray lent me his "crate" of pictures last night, we could not remember.
