Dudes,
I am using 2 Z600's on bass. (900 watts rms per sub)

Would there be ANY advantage of using 2 9515's Vs. 2 9015's?

(The cost difference is not an issue to me.)

Thanks, Bill.

Having just gone through this same dilema myself, the advantage of getting the 9515s over the 9015 is future expandibilty. If you are planning on getting some larger amps in the future, then get the 9515s so you can grow into the speaker's capabilities. But 900 watts should get the 9515s moving pretty good.

You can build the box to be more efficient to make the most of your amp. And on that note, the 9515s are a tad bit more effiencent than the 9015s.

This is what I got from the techs at DD when I was deciding between the 9012 and the 9512. Go to the website and do some reading.

Plus the 9500 series looks the meanest.

Winslow,
Since you brought up the 9512 and 9012, I was wondering if I used 4 9012's if it would give me more output than 2 9015's?

Also, how do your 12's sound?

Which tuning frequency did you use for your box?

if you're going to do 4 12's, 3500's would be great on your power. email me monday

oh, i have 2 9515's in stock too. you won't get any performance gain with the power you have, but you can add more later. and if you mount them inverted, they look incredible

I hope it sounds good. I haven't gotten it yet. I would get the 2 15s since they aren't that much more money and buy more amps to power the crap out of them.

Guys,
Some of you mentioned (with the 9515's) the added benifit of adding more power later increasing my output.

That being said, What would be my options at that point:
Sell my Zapco's Z-600s and buy bigger amps?
Buy 2 more Z-600's and use 1 per coil?
?????

I was also wondering if there is a
disadvantage of not being able to drive the 9515's as hard as I would be able to drive the 9015's with my current power?

Thanks for the help!
Bill.

to answer your question the 9000s on power below 1000 watts is louder than the 9500. The 9500 does better above 1000 watts \than the 9000s.

3500's with 1000 watts....if u are gonna get more power in the future go with the 9000's or 9500's....cuz the guy from dd told me that the 3500's will keep up with the 9500's untill tons of power is applied...but no one seems to listen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm listening to iboomalot- Randy Coles...the techs at DD also. So if you are wanting to upgrade amps get the 9500 series.

Rockford- he was 900 per sub, which is near twice your 1000 watts total.

1600-1800 watts per sub should do the trick for the 9515s. You can sell your current amps and buy larger ones or buy another two of what you have and run 2 per speaker.
