i want to try out some PBX xtreme series model XS-12Dv.2 but i have an 18XXX.... main question is i'm only running 1200 rms from two amps (in my sig area) and i'm not sure if the pbx's will sound good off of only 600rms each. and do you think they will be as loud as the 18? i know two 12's is more cone area.....

The XXX has more cone area, as well as longer, linear stroke. I'd say keep the XXX, and think about adding more power. I'd also suggest trying a different enclosure. 7.5-8.0net, 90-100sq" tuned 27-30hz.
I found that going from 5.6net tuned to 33hz, to 4.15net tuned to 27hz with my old 15" XXX made a positive difference. The smaller box is less boomy, more controlled/accurate. The same thing will happen with the 18".

x2 on everything he said [Smile]

Try altering the box and squeezing every oodle of performance outta them XXXs first. (You could always get the new subs if you decide your still not happy anyway so i guess you lose nothing)
