why is it not recomended to wire svc subs in series? I was planning on picking up 8-10 cheap 8"s and have it on one amp. But the ohm load is way to low for my amp. What wille happen if I wire them in series?

theres nothing wrong with wiring svc subs in series. youll probably overheat your amp.

You will probably want to do a combination of series and parallel. If you series all the speakers together the ohm load will be too high for your amp to produce any good power.

Yeah that's what I was going to do. So I went to http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=160 and it say's "Please note that when wiring multiple drivers it is recommended that series connections between drivers be avoided at all costs. This does not include series connections made between voice coils on the same driver. For more information, please consult our dual voice coil tutorial section."

If I remember correctly (which I don't for sure) it's because the drivers will recieve different amounts of power. Mark
