I'm getting ready to buy a Rockford Punch series 1 sub and need help with the box design.Should I port it? I will be running it off a JensonXA 3022Lx amp in mono(200 watts RMS)

Ask your self this. What type of music are you going to be lisening to and also why are you puting a sub in? Is is for Boom or for great low end music. I say if it is for the boom then go ported but if not then I always have been a fan of the sealed enclosures. They require alot less to build to in sub woofer enclose knolage. ? Are you buying it from a shop or a friend? If it is from a shop ask to hear it in both types of boxes. You could also Just build a ported enclosure and plug the port when you feal it is not needed.
