i'm currently running a dd1008, 1 cube box tuned to ~37, powered by a jbl 1200.1 it sounds good, but i'm a basshead, so of course i want more. i've been measuring a little bit, and as long as i use 1/2 inch mdf i can squeeze in 1.25 cubes, which is the minimum size allowed for a dd3500 10. so my first question is, of course, could i use 1/2 inch for a 3500? would i need to resin the box to keep it from flexing too much? (the port will help brace some) second, will the 3500 sound ok in that small of a box? and third, will this be a big enough difference in volume to be worth doing? (i'll be going from 600 to 1200 watts) thanks

also, are there any other subs that would be a better replacement?
