so you are looking for boong for the buck ehhh.. well i would have to say look at the JL W0 or W3 LINES. both are good but the W0 is entrylevel and the W3 is closer to a Rockford DVC in performance. Both rockford and JL make great speakers although rockfords new amps are still to be proven in reliabity, now there are people who will say rockford amps quality? well personally i think since they joined with Best Buy, the quality of amps kind of declined, but i also heard that the engineer that designed all the old stuff left and went to another company? sooo........

Do you know how many engineers RF employs?? Aside from specific circuits, they are a group effort and losing no one person makes a massive change. How come every time RF changes their amp line 'an engineer left and now they aren't the same'?
RF is one of VERY few lines I can think of that has had consistent quality every year, with no real hummers to think of.
Hell, RF could do NO changes to their amps for the next 5 years and still be technologically superior to almost every other line. But they don't. They push ALL the time. When was the last time PG or PPI or SS came out with a new circuit design or protection structure? I can't think of when. They all just repackage the same old circuits (or use someone else's discarded technology) and claim it as new and improved. It makes me sick to see consumers waste money on 'upgrades' when the only difference some brands have is the heatsink this year.....

Im not sure on how much $$ you are trying to spend, but how about Polk DB's? They play really low and loud and can handle lots of power! They also fit in very small boxes. I don't know many people that have them though. Polk has been around for a long time too so you know its a dependable woofer.
