Just a real quick question, are pre-fabricated sub boxes any good? i am thinking about getting two jl 12w6v2, and was wondering what kind of box i should get. i know that building one is a lot cheaper, but i have no idea how to do that. i have been doing some research, and have come to conclude that i want a ported box. also, how much power am i gonna need for these bad boys? i guess its not really a short question. thanks in advance.

I would bet that the JL box would be ok, but I don't know about any others. Deff. not a wal-mart box I hope.

check out the boxes made by memphis audio. they are solid built and are ported at 43 htz. very good box.
