Hey guys,
I have a new 12" Idmax V3 D2 sub coming in on monday and I was wondering what would you say would be the best ported box specs that would yeild optimal performance? Right now I am thinking about going with 2.5cu.ft. with port tuning to 28Hz, but would that be the loudest box for this sub? Also with a ported box tuned that low, what amp do you recommend running I am thinking jbl bp1200.1 or DEI 1100D both can do 1 ohm. Let me know what you guys think. All opinions are appreciated.

What the general consensus is, or at least from what I have seen, 2.8 cubes tuned to 30Hz is just fantastic.... I have one completely planned out, but I just havent built it yet. I love the good ol 1.55 cube sealed box for it as well:) Good luck, -Ben

Ok, so does anyone know if the v3 idmax likes large port area or small port area thats tuned to 30Hz?

ex. does it like a small round port or a nice big slot port. (I am looking to slot porting it)
