I've got a box for my two Shocker SS 12's. It is 6.6 ft^3 with 75 sq. inches of port, 12" deep. oh yeah, and it's common chamber. What is a more powerful sub that would fit into my box, without any modification? L7? DD? Orion?

Nothing wrong with my Shocker SS's. I just want to strap another MTX 8100D and feed each woof 1500 watts each. I doubt the SS's would hold up (even for burps).

DD has proven themselves worthy time and time again. A friend of mine had two DD 9515's wall tuned to 35hz with 4 JBL 1200.1. Two on each sub for daily driving and the DD's were laughing at him. They are power hogs.

Come on now, you can buy 4 shocker SS to one DD 9500 series. Shocker super xtremes or shocker 3's are the only comparison to DD 9500 series, and shockers have proven themselves to be records breakers and holders. I would have to say buy a pair of RE HC's or RE XXX to handle that power for daily driving, throw them in a small ported box for SQL, or throw some 12" in that box you have for the SS's to get into and win a couple comps.

Mike did great things with shocker but I think EQ took them over so I can't state any news about the subs or business practices with someone else in the drivers seat. Mike hope you are still around.
