HELP!!
I'm in the middle of building a box for my JBL W12GTi sub and i'm trying to figure out the Port size i should use..
The box is about 3.5 cubes before port displacement..and i'm hoping to tune to 35hz cause i think this will give me a good mix of SQ/SPL..
The internal Demensions are 34.25Lx13.75Hx13.25D
Please i really need help on this..
Thank for anything!!

See the problem with that is my box is only 13.25" deep and i have no idea how to curve a slot port?
but 30" of port face will work i just need something not that deep
Any other ideas?

ok actually that helps out alot umm i just have one more question i heard somewhere that if you use one side of you box as a side of the port you have to modify the length of the otherside is this true and is there a formula to figure this out??
Thanks

OK actually that pick helps out amazingly that's basicly what i'm planning to do.
I'm planning on using 3 sides of my box just like the picture
Now my question is if i use three sides of my box like the above picture then would i need to shorten or lengthen the fourth side of the port from the original 13.75?
Thank i really need an answer to this as this is the only thing holding me back from finishing up this box i've been working on for 3 months!
Thanks again!

just a thought, how many watts are we talking about, because 30" of port is pretty tiny for a W12GTi, I would go minimum of 60" if you have the space, and 80 would be more like it, in a 4 to 5 cube box before port displacement.

Good luck!

I have 1 JBL 1200.1 so i guess that's somewhere around 900watts at 3ohms??

I'm building the box almost exactly like that picture (Three sides of the box as part of the port and the fourth side bent as so)
The major problem i'm having is how long to make that 4th Wall..
And if you guy have worked with the NEW W12GTi subs and know of a better fequency for 50/50 SQ/spl
Thanks!
