the jl audio w3
is very well built.. and you wont be disappointed with SQ and SPL

Kicker Comp Vr's are good for SPL but have poor SQ. there okay for the money, but i wouldnt recommended them for anyone.

Mtx woofers are also nice.
either mtx or JL audio w3
the jl audio can just as loud as the kicker.
if your not worried about money get the jl

thanks, as i said they are all in a box already, all used, and ordering from ebay isnt feasible as i live in jamaica

im still a bit confused though, i thought kicker competition vr's were top of the line, the jl audio w3's are better? in terms of spl, i want bass!

kickers best woofer's are the L7 or L5
then comp vr's
then comps

jl audio w3 has good SQ=nice clean bass
SPL=sound pressure level= how much air is pushed

the jl audio w3 is good, but mtx is also good.
but JL audio is fairly clear sounding woofer

The kicker l5 or l7, have good SPL, but arent really good with SQ.
Well, it all depeneds on the box

W3's sound nice...Never heard CompVR 10's just the 12's but they sound good too. I would go with the VR's or W3...basically whatever you can get cheaper.

well,

the jl audio w3 reatils more then the kicker comp vr
i hope that helps.

most people prefer jl audio over mtx because of the woofer capablities.

LOL... the RFL is an SPL only driver... it's frequency range is like 50-150!

Anywho, the MTX subs sound like farting under water.

The W3 has a much better mix of SPL and SQ over the VR. The VR can usually be found cheaper than the W3. I say go for the W3v2 or get the e10k.

EDIT: byt much better, I mean in the upper power range... the VR will start loosing BL before the W3... etc.

There's a problem with this statement- The problem is that people don't realize that it's all in the install. People bag on MTX so much without even realizing that the install quality MAKES or BREAKS a system.

I've listened to Shaq's Escalade in LA convention center car show (not the one with L7's, the one with W6's) and boy do they sound horrible [Frown] and I'm sure the install has A LOT to do with it.
