Wanting to do something loud, but small (due to it going in the trunk of my convertible. And it's not for SPL competition. I want it loud, but something that's good for listening to music. No one note SPL enclosures.

Have US Amps USA-400, the older model without the built in crossover. 1200 watts x1 @ 2 ohms bridged. Was looking for a 4ohm DVC or 2ohm SVC sub that can handle that power without breaking the bank. I don't think I want to spend $500 for a subwoofer. Keep it reasonable.

Don't have much room. Probably gonna have 1.5ft^3 give or take a little to work with. Much bigger and I'll have a hard time getting the thing in the trunk (and I don't want to build it in the trunk. I do want it loud, so whatever will work with that amp and that small space would be great. Ported or sealed is fine.

And due to height restrictions in the trunk (and fitting the enclosure through the trunk opening), I think I would like to stick with a 10" sub. Any ideas? Thanks!

elemental designs a series you pick the size of the woofer. http://www.edesignaudio.com/

they are a good woofer tha just came out. flat piston and and costs about 240. but ur gonna need to keep the gains low on the amp. its RMS is 650 so ya good luck on your search

I don't even see a 10" a series. Only an 8, 12, & 15. Is their site just not updated?

Was thinking 9510 4/4, but I think even that 10 needs a bigger enclosure than I have room for.

Anything else that'll work?

Maybe a Solobaric?

Anyway you go, you'll need to have the gains turned down on the amp.

1.5cf will work well for a DD3512 and this sub runs between 215 - 245 and can handle 1200+ watts in an enclosure that size and should hit very well.

I have a 9112 in my convertable vette and it does mid 130s with approx 500 watts to the sub in about 1.25-1.5cf sealed. My 9112 is similar to a DD3512 and you should get similar results.
