what i want is simple, earth-shattering bass, but it has to be clean, not just loud boom, basically the loudest, lowest-hitting possible SQ system i can have with what i'm working with....

97 acura integra hatch, revolution-d 1500watt amp (1-ohm), approx 5cu ft to work with. what would you do to get the most bass with cleanest sound? i wanna go ported, but would still consider sealed depending on how it would work with what i get. so far i've considered:

1 15" brahma ported low
2 12" evo-r ported low
2 dd3512 ported low

going from 2 jl w3-15d4 sealed, the sound quality was great, but it wasn't loud to me at all....please any suggestions on what i've listed or if you have any other suggestions to throw into the hat, i'm baffled about this and need to order soon [Frown]

A friend of mine(Rybadio) had a daily driver wall setup with 2 DD9515's and 4 JBL 1200.1's tuned to 35hz and he was hittin 154-155. It was one of the cleanest setups I have heard.

never heard anything about the inhumans before, anyone have any testamonials? and that 4jbl amp setup sounds like it would pound, but are the 3500 series just "cheap" subs, i've heard nothing but good things about the 9500 and 9900 but those are way more expensive

id say u can do as much as 1500 watts per 3515!

the 3500 series is an amazing woofer! and damn loud....... just not as comp worthy as the "old" 9000, 9500 , or 9900 series

just got done readin a few hours on the Inhumans. they are quite impressive and a lot of people rave about them. i like the idea of using a 15 in a 3-5ft loooow ported box. would this be good for a good tight sq setup using a 1600 watt amp wired at 1-ohm? i want a rediculously high spl sub but in my opnion if it doesn't play the music accurately it shouldn't even exist, so i only want it if it's not gonna sound like someone farting to the music in my trunk

the inhumam is excelent for daily driving and has good SQ. another sub with excelent SQ and great SPL is the RE XXX 15. http://respl.com/15.html

the inhuman is expensive compeared to the others you were looking at. the re goes for $399 or you can get a DD9515 for $425 for a base model and $465 for a showcase model also look at adire audio'd tumult I know its meant for home use but that will I think be beter in the aplication you are looking for because it has a really low fs and therefore you can tune it really low put it in 5 cubes and tune it to 25hz and you will have gut wrenching low low bass that is loud and clean I think they are $499 from adire they have the same motor and VC and cone as the XXX but the suspension and parameters are changed to give a much lower FS to make it beter suited to home use.

i've looked at the tumult before and certainly wouldn't rule it out, it looks like it kicks ass, i wonder how much of an actual improvement there would be over a brahma side by side though. up until the last few days i've been set on the brahma for months now, just as i'm getting close to ordering now i started to look into it a little more and that's when i started questioning my decision. i'm sure it sounds great, the only thing i'm worried about is that it won't be enough output for what i'm looking for. everyone compares adire subs to jl subs, and i am switching from 2 15w3's cuz although almost anyone will tell you that it's loud i can tell you it's not that loud at all [Smile] sounds great though, those were hooked up to a punch 800 though in all fairness, and now i sold that and ordered one of the new revolution d1500 amps, so i have about twice as much rms to work with, but still, i want this to be my last upgrade, and i'm having to choose a sub or subs without hearing them as in my part of the world all we have is crap except for JL, so i have to buy on recommendations alone, which there are so many different opinions it's fairly tricky to do [Smile]

no problem I'll let you know for sure. About the tumult vs. brahma it will be slightly more output but the main differnce will be how low it will go. also the DD9515 http://www.ddaudio.com/caraudio/woofers.asp?series=9500 is an excelent choice it will get increadibly loud a little louder than the brahma and tumult or XXX which is verry simaler to the XXX the only problem i see with the tumult is that it is a dual 4 ohm so you will not get full power from your amp with one another thing you might think about is a single 18 like a www.respl.com resonant engineering hc 18 which you can get for $319 or a xxx 18 which is $465 i think either of thoes in 5 cubes tuned to 35hz would be loud as hell but really I would say go with a 9515 put it in 4 cubes tuned to about 32hz and you will not be disapointed
