my friend has a knocking on wood sound from his sub on higher bass notes, on low notes its fine but on the higher it sounds kinda like hitting wood, we put a whole different size sub and box in there and after awhile it started doin the same thing!!! what could be the problem

yeh thats what i told him but it seemed weird that it happened on both boxes

that sound can also be the sound of the voice coils hitting the backplate, my lightning did that a couple times before I ran a comp and blew the damn thing.LOL

well if it is like the famous audiobahn 1200eu series the rings would come unglued adn the sub would play but the ring with suspension would just smack the basket up and down

hahahaha.... could be like when i first started way back in the day....

subs frame could be hitting if the screws get loose.... but if the box had carpet then scratch that! [Big Grin]

otherwise it cant be good [Eek!]
