I was just wondering witch sub is beter the cerwin vega vega 104 or the kicker comp vr o1c10r. they will take the same amount of watts (300 rms) but the cerwin vega has a 96 db sensitivity and the kicker has a 85.6 db sensitivity.there also the same price on ebay.

Personaly I love the Vega spekaers any kind. The kickers are very good to. Its really up to you. Also the kickers can take a sealed box ,the Vegas do not work thier best seealed. Id do Vegas ported.

Actually, the Vega 104 has a reference efficiency of about 85.6dB as well. CV has NEVER been honest with their efficiency specs, whereas Kicker's are usually dead on.

Honestly, I'd take the Vega. It's going to have far better SQ ported than the VR could ever dream of.

I think both are going to sound good sealed, just follow the manufactures reccomendation. If you go ported, I think either would do eqaul in output, and in SQ.

Here we go again. I have a CompVR in a sealed 1.38cu ft. Box with 340watts and it sounds great. [Razz]
