I just had a quick question:

I have a Mmats Juggernaut 15, I was wondering if any of you guys have some sites or perhaps places around GA that are pretty good at building the transmission type enclosures for them? (similar to Virtual Technologies)

I have loads of space so dimensioning is not a problem...Im looking for a 5 cu. ft. enclosure.

any suggestions?
any sites?
anyone?

Thanks.

I wanted to make a trns line for my 15.....to be a true transmission line box you would need at least 10-30 cubes depending on how you tune/build it.

Thanks HGCA,

I haven't heard of needing that much room, but if need be I have it. I just want someone or someplace that has experience with these type of enclosures so I can get the best of both worlds with SPL and SQ.

just as a note....

going from an fs of lets say 35hz..

the box lenght has to be 1/4 of the Fs frequency..... 1/4 wave at 35hz would be...... between 7 and 9 feet. The cross area of the line needs to be 25% bigger than the cone area.... around 180sq inches.....and you supposed to taper he end so it has the same surface area as the sub.... all tha mentioned.... it would be right around 8 cubes with NO WASTED space. I would suggest things like 45 deg rounded corners and that will probably waste llot of space...oh and you got to keep in mind, the wood.

more than anything....ahernia..lol I had a 19'cf box and it had to go in two pieces it was so heavy... i think TL enlosures are "all most" impossable for cars unless you use like 1 12. oh, I wouldn't want to go through all that trouble for one 12...but the hoice is yours... I know that if your good at caculating, and you know a little about physics and enginerring that you could get te book and try it yourself.
