too much..not enough... my dad has all sunfire in his room and martin logan in the home theater... that sunfire sub is crazy.. i'd put that thing in a car its so damn loud....it has like a 2400watt amp on it...a 3512 should be cool in a home theater, tune it low...20-28hz around there...

Ah sunfire and Martin Logan=good stuff. So the question you have is the 3512 good for home theater use?...does a bear crap in the woods? I actually have a 9012 in a 3 ft`3 box tuned to 35 hz powered by a Crown UT2000 (1950 watts 2ohm mono) and it F**KING jams!! I would thing just slightly less power for your 3512 and a higher tuning like mine, and you will not be disappointed. Mine are matched to Aragon 200-5 and Act3 pre/pro with NHT 2.3s and Canton center and surrounds.Sounds killer.

For music, yes I would think it would be great. However, it may not be able to do some of the low movie effects where a home sub in a large ported box tuned to 18-20 Hz would perform.
