Would this be a good competition car and what class would I be in? The guys at the store that installed it were saying 146db. I have no idea how he got this number...its just what he said. So it could be total BS..but it does sound loud. Anyways heres what I have:

'93 civic hatch
-orion hcca 12d in gately plexiglass box w/orion hcca 250g4 amp
-diamond m5 5.25" w/rf 250a2 amp

Everything else is stock. Thanks a lot guys

Well if it is in the trunk, you could either be in mini street 1-2 and i think you would be competitive. However this class does not accrue points towards finals. You could be in street 1-2, but the winning scores are up in the mid 150's.

You could do well locally, but to compete hardcore, I would say you may want to add another sub.

Good luck and have fun.

you can find out about local comps right here on termpro. go to the homepage and click on "db drag racing" then "competitor menu" then "event locator" then you take care of the rest.

the smaller local comps you will have to find out through the grapevine

Trust me there buddy, the Washington area is pretty scarce as far as comps go. Even non db-drags are kinda hard to find. Unless you are really really willing to travel. Anyways, jsut listen to the radio and call Car Toys and Magnolia Hifi, local shops, etc. and ask them if they are having, or know of, any comps. Cool another person from Washington.
