Im not hating by anymeans but I have been stewing over this for the past 3 weeks, I total think the coverage of DB Drag sucked with car audio and electronics, and they wonder why no one buys there magazine !!!!! I am very happy for who all made it ! but come on are you serious !!!! You would think if they pay someone to go there and take pictures and take interviews, we would get more coverage ! I serious think some people need to get there heads out of there ass'ssss and see what we are doing to support not only the industry, but the pride we put into our work to show consumers what we can do !

Just my 2 cents !

Db Drag is 2% of the industry as a whole.
Sounds like fair coverage to me.

Now maybe, if we had drift racing where you do a drive by spl score, we would get more coverage...

maybe the person that was doing it was trying to show off the cars and the people that support the sport and not just take and take then run their mouth about how pissed they are about not getting their van in the mag. from what i can remember what i saw in the mag. it was a lot of the cars that took first place in their class

Whos taking and taking ? I hope your not saying that I do not support the sport, Because if you are, you have to be retarded ! This makes 10 years that I have been doing this, win lose or draw, we are always trying to raise the bar in all aspects of this sport ! When you work as hard as we do, to be able to afford to build the things we build, it would be nice to be a lil more appreciated by the magazines ! [Smile]

have you guys not seen the event coverage from the Finals in Performance Auto & Sound Magazine?

Every year they attend the show and every year the have a multiple page spread of Finals coverage. Out of all the publications out there they by far give the most props to the sport of dB Drag. I also believe that many of the competitors on here will vouch for the fact that they've been featured in the Competitor Profiles section of the magazine.

just my 2 cents

thanks

If you're refering to the PASMAG event coeverage I would like you to please show me where one manufacturer was mentioned more than others. Reason being is because I'm the individual that wrote the article. I've also been the one to do it for the last 4 years. I assure you that I no one manufacturer is given more "love" than any other you can be assured of that.

To those who jumped to my defense, I have consulted with Chris about his intentions for posting this here and what he really meant. Chris is not upset about the specific coverage that was submitted, but rather at how coverage has been limited in general, which is a feeling I think many of you (us?) have had.

I tend to agree with him in that respect. Coverage for finals several years ago was a big deal in all of the major industry magazines - multiple page layouts, lots of pictures, and tons of information. This is no longer the norm for finals coverage nor is audio competition in general.

I think we all agree that the more positive coverage that we can get out there, the better we feel we are being represented as an integral part of this industry.

calm down dude, I was refering to the Car Audio coverage. I havent seen the PAS coverage. Surely the ol Slambulance isnt in there toooo.

The one manufacturer is the one that had a whole paragraph in the CA&E article. Seemed kinda strange when that one manufacturer that doesnt even have a dealer base is mentioned that much and the other manufacturers that spent good money on booths and supporting DB drag and didnt get a mention.
