We just got back from Spring Break Jam in South Padre and had a really good time. We hit our goal by breaking the 168bd mark in Super Mod. 0-1000 with a 168.2db. Now its time to get back to work in the van and see if we can achieve our goal for the year by hitting that 170 mark. If I can ever get photobucket to upload pics I will get some more pics up.

Thanks Chris. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy hearing that from you. j/k. We are working hard and are hoping to be the first super mod. 0-1000 vehicle to break the 170 mark. Have alot of air leaks to try and plug some how and some more tweaking to do.

I also got my SB1 setup installed for the new USAC street beat class. Havn't had a chance to meter it yet, but it sounds really nice.

The amp powering the beast.

The enclosure at different angles. This is also my first attempt at fiberglassing an enclosure. I think it turned out OK.

Did a little testing yesterday and founf out the wattage I am putting out and that my voltage id dropping from 17.1 to 15.2 on a burp. Do you think I could gain more power by adding more batts. so I would have less voltage drop. I divided my wattage output by my voltage drop and came up with 221 amprage draw. I have been told that these amps draw 290 full tilt. Will raising my voltage help me get the full amprage draw for the amps. I have a 1ohm reactive load on burps already so I was just thinkinmaybe raising my voltage would help me gain more power. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes, adding more batts would stiffen up your voltage. By stiffening up your voltage, you wouldnt have as big of a drop, and if your amps put out more power with more voltage, you would be golden [Smile]

We are going to a show later this evening, so I will have numbers on the van and some pics. I have my fingures crossed that we hit our goal this time out without taking out any subs.

Well the trip was a desaster from the start. Had a blow out on the trailer on the way up there. Got there, got onto the lanes, burp and only a 163.5. Could see anything wrong can't figure out what might have happened. Burp again 163.5. Damn it. Loaded it back go back home and have another blow out on the trailer. Finally get it back home and started checking things out and found out that we had bad RCA's in the podium. Replaced all that and get everything working right again. Test it and bam, 171.6. To bad we couldn't have done that at the show where it would have counted. Maybe next time.

Belive it or not it is still sitting in my drive way with no equipment in it. I am working on a deal that might get me some equipment so that I might be able to get it to finals this year. Won't be nothing special, probably a 170-171 with the equipment that I have planned but at finals you never now what might happen. I just want to be able to compete with it atleast once at Finals before it gets sold or just sits and rots.
