Now that I have finished cutting my 4 ports for my subs I think of this question. When the specs say the port is to be 10.27” long is this from one end of the port to the other or is it from the inside end of the port to the inside of the box? I’m trying to get this box built to perfection by the specs.

the measurement is for the port itself. Also keep in mind that you want the port at least 4inches from the bottom or sides of the box. A good rule of thumb is keep it a way from the box the same amount of inches as the port size.

Thanks for the info. I did know that A guy was to try and keep the port away from the sides but some time this is not posable. Mine had to be close to the bottom.

Why is this a bad thing? The bottom two ports the subs on the bottom are the same distance away from the bottom as the top two are from the top. How close? I could slide a few sheets of paper between them. Will this create allot of port noise? Maybe I should try to put a 45 deg. angle in the port to get the mouth of the port away from the bottom? Tell me what you think. And also how to get the correct length with a curved port.
