dont know if its just me or my new yellowtop just isnt holding a good charge. it starts fine if i dont have the stereo blasting befor i turn it off. its model d34/78. i would think it would have enough CCamps. and my voltage doesnt drop below 13.5 give or take but that should be enough to keep it charged! im gonna drop my old batery back in tomorow. ive had several times now where the car would slowly crank and several times had to jump it. and im just tired of jumping it. this yellow top is brand new and i charged it up fully before hooking up. and my amp isnt even running at full power.
my old batery is 900CCamps and i think the d34/78 is 770CCamps. you think it could be my car is just to old and i need more CCamps to start it?
i was gonna get another optima and mount in trunk. but definatly selling my car ASAP to get a newer car. so dont wanna put anymore work then i have too in this car. im definatly keeping the yellow top for the new car so i can do the secondary batery idea since its definatly gonna be awhile till i get a high power alt for it.
any ideas why my car will hardly start with the yellow top?
