i have a cva-1005 and it has little line that go through the screen, and they get worse as i turn the volume UP, i took this to the dealer and they switched up the monitor part(not the brain) and it still did the same thing, does anyone know what could be causing this, i dont think its voltage cause i have two caps along with this and dont seem to be having voltage problems, not running lots of power right now,

anybody that can help is much appreciated

its the brain!
I had the same problem with the pioneer avm7000r. Trust me its the brain not the display. I garantee those lines will go away.

well, either way you will need a new brain. It's really up to you to decide wether you want to take it back to alpine or get a new one. It would be cheaper to send to alpine but longer to get the problem taken care of.
