does anybody know if this takes into account the port size when making a box?? or do I just find the port with a certain box size then add the volume of that to the total box size?? thanx

what u r doin is picking a net volume and port tuning frequency that the sub will actually see. there is not a gross voulume calculator. there is that thing where u can play w/ the wood thickness but it does nothing for me...
see how much gross volume u wanna give up in your car. that's your limit. now find a box that u like. now u gotta calculate your port, sub, port, and bracing displacement. no, winisd doesn't know if u r using .75" mdf, .25" pvc tubing, or a clothes dryer vent (hehe) for your port. the program also doesn't know if u r using a wall or three of your box as part of your port. so if u r doing this u gotta shorten your port....this very informative webpage from jl's website will explain things...
