How do I get low bass in a small SUV. I have an Explorer and my bass cant get very low. My friend has an Expedition and his bass is etreme low, I know its becauase he has a bigger truck, but I can get the same effect? Good example, we both played Blueberry Yum Yum; I got a slight hum of bass, he had door flexing, wind tunnel effect-like low notes in his truck. Almost same size amps, same subs, same tuning.

Ill bet the tuning is wrong or your subs are out of phase or your amp isnt adjusted right or your headunit isnt set right. Check all those before the box.

I'm with him. Swap sub boxes with him if you have the same subs have them facing the same way they were in the other truck. That would be a relatively easy way to rule out the box. Those trucks have different size interiors so the cabin gain of each of them will be different.

His box is a little bigger, but both at 35 Hz. For the fact he has an Expedition and maybe a bigger alt. he may have more power. But still, I change how low it drops, dynomat or etc? Loud isnt the problem, i can getting better mid and high notes than him, but he kills me in the lows.
