Wow, their site is down I really hope they haven't gone bankrupt. Has anyone tried calling them yet? I'll have to dig out the number and see what's up.. I've got a few amps I wanted to send back to them and have them repaired.

lol! sound around is known for buying company's on their way out of buisness. can you imagine the new '02 tarantula, with a big "10,000 WATTS PEAK" sticker right on the top and a very conservative retail of $199.90

I think you have SoundStorm and SoundStream mixed up. They were having financial problems over the last couple years and did sell about 4 months ago but it was not to Sound Around. i'll research the information on this subject to clarify this matter

i just got a packit from wholesale house.in it ,they said they picked up all of soundstream inventory.i called them to see if they would be selling it on a reg. basis.
she told me she did not know at this time.

its not a bad place to buy.they take care of their stuff they sell.i do not buy that much stuff from them anymore.i,m going more and more factory direct.its the only way to go.

I'm not sure....I think that MMXpress.com and Zeb Audio still carry SoundStream.

I'll gladly do some digging though.

I used to have soundstreams 800 number memorized and written down around here somewhere but can't seem to find it. I used to talk to april norton and joe clusnik all the time. It's been a long time though and I don't remember it. I hope they aren't out of business because I love thier equipment. Thier amps have great power and some of the best sq out there.

Well

They were having trouble since 1994 or so, and never really found a marketing strategy that coincided with the car audio consumer. $39,000 bronze amplifiers belong in a museum, and not a car. Now, maybe we'll see it in the Smithsonian.

Good luck to whomever took over the brand. Chalk another one up for Best Buy & Circuit City. They are driving the specialty brand out of business.
