I'de love to get my RE SE's in a home system but I don't know anything about putting together box systems with mids and highs and all. Also what sort of power would I need for two of the 12s just for a home system?

Thanks for any information.

Adam

I would call RE Tech and ask them. You should have no problem using any home amplifiers to power them

What about that amp? Would it be decent on one RE SE? Also....does it have teriminals that I would easily be able to wire my subs up to it?

Thank you,

Adam

I really dont care about highs.

I'm no expert but it looks like it has banana terminals, so just get banana plug ends at your local radio shack and shove the wire into the back of them and optionally (and highly recomended) solder them...? That amp should be perfect for one RE SE, it is 5 watts over rms which is well within how much those things can take. Just make sure you wire it for 8 ohms, series, wire the amp positive to VC(voicecoil)1 positive to VC2 negitive, and amp negitive to VC1 negitive and VC2 positive...got that?

I don't really understand what you mean, i have a dual 4 ohm sub and would only be able to wire the amp at 4 ohms.

Does this amp still work out ok?

dual 4 ohm sub you can get 2 ohm or 8 ohm.

2 Ohm if you take the positive from one side of the amp and attach it to the other positive, and do the same thing with the negative.

Or 8 Ohm if you take the positive of one side, and attach it to the negative of the other side. and hook the amp to the other 2 terminals.

looks like it, I think those things will go down to 2 ohms, anyone doing it on here now? BTW, i thought you mean how would you connect them as in how physically would you get the wire into the amp, LOL.

If you want to go a bit bigger. I used the 1000watt mono block A/B amplifier that is supplied with Titanic 15" subwoofer kit. I can make it uncomfortable in my living room if I so desire. People ask why, I say because I can.

isn't that quite a bit more expensive?

Actually the entire kit was only $688. That is a great deal for a 1000w A/B monoblock. You can always sell the sub and box and recoupe some of the cost.
