Currently I have one RFD2210 sub in a down firing box ported and tuned for approximately 35hz. This is powered by one 500bd. Im looking to add a second 2210 dual 4 ohm sub back there down firing also but wasn’t sure if I could pull this off with a 1000bd since it would be a 1 ohm load on the amp. Now once I get over that hurdle I have to figure out if I can port this box effectively. The problem is the box will be only 8” tall so its pretty flat and to get the port face on the bottom same as the subs I would need to use a curved port like a pvc port that has an elbow. My question about that is has it ever been done successfully with minimal port noise? Im thinking of using 3” pvc and find some flared ends. Or I could use a standard port and port the box threw the forward face into the seat.

I have heard sub boxes with the ports on a different plain and most still get good SPL and SQ. Although it is definitely not recommended. You may try to fire the subs towards the back of the vehicle with the port going the same way. Do you have to face the subs down?
