Hello all. I just recently purchased a '90 Chevy Corsica and am starting to build a system in it. I am tossing the idea around about competing in both spl and sq, but not sure if I'll make it that far...yet.
I have one major problem, and I have read and tried all the fixes I can think of, except one. This problem is a whining noise off front speakers on 1 amp. This noise gets higher when engine accelerates. I have the power on one side of car and rca/speaker wires on other. I have 4 gauge (for now) on both ground and positive. I have also grounded from the alternator to the battery, and everything is grounded to one point. I still get the noise.
Only thing I can thing of that I have not done is changing the spark plug wires. Since these are a factory set, they may be bleeding real bad, I dunno.
I put the car on an sillyscope (forgot spelling), and even with just the wires hanging in mid air, not hooked to anything, I can see the electrical peaks which should not be there.

Now, will changing the sparkplug wires actually make a difference? Is there anything else I need to look forward to?

Thanx in advanced for any help.
