i RECENTLY GOT SOME DIAMOND AUDIO hEX'S FOR MY CAR. They will be hooked to a Pioneer 940mp. I think I am going to need an amp. Would this be a good amp for these speakers?

hm......that would work, and yes you will need an amp to make those speakers shine and get loud........but audiobahn? i mean really.....try jl or something.........
