After much planning, saving and changing my mind I have finally started to install my stereo. The car in question is a 95 Nissan 240sx. Today I started to install the CD player and I have some questions. The stock CD player has diversity tuning, so the antenna plug is bigger than the input on my CD player and has two inner conductors. So here are my questions 1. Is there an adaptor to get my antennas to plug into my Eclipse? 2. Does anyone have an idea where the second antenna is? I've installed quite a few systems and I have never ran into this, I remember Sony having diversity tuning on some of their heads but haven't heard of this on a factory deck. I hope someone can help because I'm pretty confused.
I believe this is how it is with all or most nissans. My factory stereo had a 2 post thing. But it was the adapter. I pulled my antenna wire a little bit and there was some foam wrapped around the wire...I pulled off the foam and that's where the regular antenna cable connected to the adapter for the nissan unit.
the adapter is about a foot long. Check and see if that 240 is the same way.

Thanks guys. Mine didn't come apart so I bought an adapter. The reason I was confused was the first shop I went to looked at me like I was nuts when I told him what I needed.
