Cleveland is another 438 miles from Lubbock, I can't see someone willing to drive 1000 miles not willing to go 400 more.

According to mapquest, going to Cleveland instad of Nashville would be 1184 more miles round trip. That's a BIG difference, I don't care who you are.
BTW: Tim, not trying to jump on you. Just pointing out what I found. Don't want to come across as an a$$.

Finals is 2325 miles from us in so cal now but we are all excited about finals this year. I think there will be alot of cars from Cali going to finals this year. If we can make it anyone can. Just think of all the fun you will have at finals at you will realize that it is worth it. I think this years finals will be the best year, more cars, louder cars, and a new environment to party in. This year is going to be great

Seems to me that Big Yukon T needs to get his math correct before he tries to bash someone cause you have to take into account the trip back!!! The whole dang point is that instead of moving it more centralized we moved it further away!!! I will be there either way as i have been the past two years even though i didnt take a car last year. People need not to bash when someone states their opinion!!! Brian I hope you decide to go anyways because finals is a blast as is OKSDIII!!! See ya there man.

400 miles might not seem like much until you take into consdieration its 5-6 hours more driving EACH way on top of an already long ass trip when it was only 1000 miles. Add to that another 100 or so in gas and wear and tear and it is quite a jump. Not taking a cheap shot or anything but who are you to talk about how easy it would be when if im not mistaken you havent competed at finals to know whats involved. Personally you can count me out, but I had already determined that after the fiasco at finals this year.

I may not have been to finals but I have competed and put in the time. If I don't go to finals that is my choice and has nothing to do with distance. I am just pointing out the ONE WAY distance increase. It could have been worse. By the way I didn't bash anyone if I did you would know it.

just by looking at who went/got invited to 2004 finals, there were roughly 125 competitors. out of those from what i can tell by just looking, only about 50 of those would have to drive further. for the other 75, the distance has gotten much closer. i think if you guys would just give it a chance, you'll see the IX center is very nice. it has a huge parking lot with booths so people have to check in and such. also like i said before, it is right next door to cleveland's airport. it is also a very short distance up the road to get to resturants, stores, and strip clubs!! when i told my wife it was moved she got mad like you guys. but she sleeps the whole 8-9 hours we drive, so she doesnt mind driving.

I took a few hours today to figure out what the average driving distance would be between finals being in Cleveland vs. Nashville. The way I figured all of this out is I took the 125 competitors from the 2004 world finals list and figured their driving distance to the two different locations and then I averaged all of them together. Trust me it took a long time. What I came up with is the 2004 Finals Competitors drove on average to Nashville 700 miles and the same competitors will drive on average 744 miles to Cleveland. I remind you all that these numbers are an average. So I ask is it worth complaining now that finals are moved on average 44 miles farther away even though there will be a lot more room?
Here are the averages per class
Nashville vs. Cleveland Street A= 943 vs. 923 Street B= 854 vs. 746 Street C= 819 vs. 957 Street Max 1-2= 468 vs. 590 Street Max 3-4= 515 vs. 562 Super Street 1-2= NW 771 vs. 695 Super Street 1-2= 684 vs. 831 Super Street 3-4= 564 vs. 645 Super Street 5+= 599 vs. 532 Extreme 1= 676 vs. 823 Extreme 2= 716 vs. 818 Extreme 3-4= 716 vs. 751 Extreme 5+= 782 vs. 800

Before you down the Cleveland I X Center Please take a look at their web sight. This place has over 800,000 sq feet which I am sure dB Drag won’t need all of it.

Gentlemen. I understand why you are doing this. If Cleveland brings a bigger crowd then more power to you. I am just a college student. My g/f is just a college student. We wanted to make the trip and try not to miss to much school. Cleveland, Ohio...have a good time, maybe I will take my business to USACI and play in their world for a bit. Hey Blake, maybe I will see you at OKSDIII if they host USACI.
