it was great that alot of true SPL competitors showed up at the show in Perry. this was the opportunity to show the everyday guys what real spl is all about "dbdrag" that is. there was alot of questions asked and some interest sparked.

we must have been at two different shows..... because Perry had a horrible turn out.....compared to past Perry events anyway.
and I don't think any of those cars there "showed" anyone anything.
Bo (I think) in the grey van with two SOLO X 18's.....he ddid a nice job with a 169.8 i believe. Then there was a blue VW rabbit from Team Audiobahn that did a very nice 175.
The little white and yellow hatches parked right next to the meter were decent, didn't have a chance to talk to them though.
There was a grey extreme style van with one crossfire sub in it. He put installed a pocket on his dash right under the mic (what another one of the extreme guys was telling me)...not legal in db drag I don't think.
And then of course....there was Virgil and his two cars which I'm still not too sure about
Oh...and I also like the guy from Team RF that trailored his Mercedes in......with his Land Rover on 20's. Way too much money!!!
And I know Neil was there, but didn't realize it until awards.

I didn't even go to the show and I was told about the great turnout at the event. Even if something isn't legal in Drag it doesn't matter in another organization. I'm sure if any of the competitors there were asked questions they would have answered them. This was the first Perry show I have missed since 99 I believe. There is more and more intrest every year.

Well the primered extreme with the crossfire actullay had a atomic 18 when it went into the lanes. Also there was no pocket just a piece of 1.5" lexan put 12.5" from the mic. that would make legal in dbdrag. get your facts straight before talking. I done a 175.4 it was okay.

Hold on there buddy. I clearly stated that another competitor informed me of that. I didn't say if it was true or not.
I could care less.
After going to several db drag shows, Nopi Nationals numerous times, and db drag world finals....nothing there was that impressive.
The only person I was impressed by was Bo (right name) with the grey van with 2 solo x 18's. His van, his attitude, and his score were all impressive.
anyway, congrats on the score.
the only reason the show looked as "packed" as it was this year is because they moved it to a smaller place. Last year was in a bigger building and had more spl entries. The show was ok at best.....last years was better.

I dont know how you can say that a 169.? was the most impressive there with 2 solo 18s. I know that he had just threw it together. As far as attuide I dont know where that came from. Unless you didnt have a chance to talk to me I will talk to anyone, help anyone, I stayed up there at Bo`s van for an hour trying to find out why it wouldnt burp right. I didnt really get the impression that anyone there had an attuide. I though that the show went really good. Neill did a hell of a score of a 170.? in SS 1-2. All I know is that it looked like everyone had a good time. I will be back next year tooo.

I think that statment alone says alot. This show is not meant to be like any of those shows. The biggest difference would be lack of stress for competitors. People go to these shows to have FUN. I also have been to and competed at all of the shows you listed above. Remember, this show was not dB Drag. Less stress equals more fun for everyone, competitors and spectators.

VERY TRUE that why I have always liked doing these shows not to beat the local kids because I used to be one of them. Just a year ago Whitlee and Iasca was the only shows I did. With $29.00 woofers on a wall in a Honda Civic HB.

Wasnt downing your score Bo like I said I know that you put it together in a hurry to get to the show and you were having problems with your van. I think you will go a long way with your attitude and sportsmanship. Hope to see you again in the lanes.
