I dont really see the problem just because they are a bunch of small batts in one case. I think that if you took apart some of these other batts that you would find the same thing inside of them. This is one of the problems with DB Drag is that Batcap is there every year with a booth at finals and you cant run there Batts unless you are in one of 2 classes. Because of this he dosent know if he will be back this year to do a booth at finals.

If batcaps weren't so much of an advantage in that class you would be allowed to use them. But, if you allow batcaps, then all of the suddent it will take a batcap 8400(or 2) to win the street classes, which means 1500 or 3000 on batteries as opposed to 200-400 on batteries.

So what's the point? Where do we draw the line?
The classes are voted on each year by us members.
The street classes are meant to 'somewhat' represent a system typical of being in an everyday vehicle. How many street beaters do you know of that actually need 300-1500 farads of capacitance?
The point of competing is not to see how much gear you can cram into a given vehicle - but to see how loud you can get within the given restrictions...
Allowing batcaps would force everyone in those classes to go out and buy them just to be competitive - and then your not even increasing the margin between you and the next guy.

well stinger and other people have built batts just for that reason and they are legal.

Again, what's the point? There's always gonna be something bigger and better around the next corner. If you want to go buy a Stinger or two (if you think that will make you louder) then more power to you, (literally and figuratively) - they fit within the current rules.
Batcaps are clearly not a comparable replacement to the under-the-hood powersource. I'm not sure what kind of comparison you are trying to make here...?

I bought in 2004 an amplifier that already is in bridge internally (very expensive), to be able to compete in equality with the other competitors of the world, and now I will have that to buy others 2 that they can be strappable, impossivel very expensive, but much go to be able to buy... The rules have that to muder in small adaptations, already it is practically a standard, Street A 1 amp, B 2 amps, C 4 amps, the people already had gotten used, NO RULE CHANGES! With relation to the Quads all good, the conductors are limited.
