I'll be there with 5 competitors total. All but one are newbies to the sport, but they are learning and having fun - which is what really counts. Michael Hohl is the last of them and he's been doing pretty well for himself this year.
Just as a note in reference to their meters, the last Whitlee show that Michael went to he did a 159.9 on the meter/mic they used. (in Carrolton) But he regularly does a 151.3 or 151.4 on my Audio Control with the SPL 190 Pressure sensor. (calibrated twice this year by Audio Control to verify accuracy) So the disparity between the mics may be much more then stated above. For those wondering why I've sent it to be calibrated twice, it's because so many people complained about it being too stiff compared to other AC meters with the SPL 190 pressure sensor, but AC says that mine is still dead on and that the other meters are either not calibrated properly or there is some other factor that is disrupting the readings.

what vehicle and what kind of install did the 159.9 on whitlee's meter if you don't mind me asking. I frequent their events and just want to put a score with the vehicle.

Not sure if it will be a factor or not, but the show is now run by Clash of the Titians. I'm not even sure if they will be using the same old mic anymore.
However I did verify that you only have to be at the show one day and it can be either day. Registration times are:
Saturday: 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM through 12:00 PM
As said before. Most people show up on Sunday, especially for the SPL competition. The show is indoors as well.

There's a small note at the bottom of one of the pages of the website (and I spoke to Howie Jr.) that says that Whitlee will stay on to run the SPL portion. They aren't even offering Clash of the Titans SPL at the World Finals.
I would expect the same old crappy mic because they like high numbers at finals.
I will have my Termlab on hand for anyone that wants to play on that as well.

Whitlee meters tend to vary differently in different places. Here the whitlee meter reads consistently 5db or so off from my termlab in most vehicles I've tested. I've heard from some others that it is more around 8-10db on the east coast over in SC and a few other states. I guess everyone will just have to find out once you get there. I really want to come but just cant make it work.

Well I hate to say it but I did not make it to the show. I had an unexpected guest from way down south. Hopefully everyone had a good time at the show.

Anyone got scores? Shavenranger99 said he did a 154.0 in 0-15'' truck, said some other guy beat him though doing a 157.8db, thats the only numbers I've heard. Shavenranger also said he was doing 146.? on his TL and did a 154.0 on whitlee's AC, Whitlee meter must be turned up a lil more down there than it is here, because when I was doing a 149.2 on the TL I only did a 154.0 on the AC meter, unless frequency effects it? Anyway lets see some other scores posted(and also a termlab score if anyone ran on both)
i was only 9db up from my linX ... hit a new all-time personal best on the AC. 156.1, not bad for 2 worn out L7 10's and a nine.1 per sub.
yes shaven_ranger got beaten by Michael Hohl with a 157.8 i believe it was.. 2 rf 2000.1's powering a LA Storm 15 quad...Shaven was running 2 visonik 4000's and a single MT i believe.
The turn out was quite big..Very cool show and definitely worth the drive for me. Great to meet several people from here on termpro and to run into so many old friends again.
