Why would it cause any? The RF amps are designed and built as one amplifier. They are single amplifiers not two amp boards tied together and passed off as one. Get a clue. Before you say something else yes, I own a stack of them and yes, I have taken one apart so, yes I do know that for a fact. Posts: 1679 | From: Michigan | Registered: Nov 2002

Any chance of a pic?
Ive heard there is two boards, one power supply side, one output side? 100% legal, no questions.
Not trying to cause any arguements, I just like amp pics

Most other 2 board amps are two identical boards/amps strapped together in one heatsink.
The one above has a seperate input board and a seperate output board.
Why, I dont know. But it is clearly not built to put "2" amps in one case.

The T series amps are built that way to optimize thermal control, reliability and output. The amps were designed from the ground up to surpass reliability, thermal, output standards. That is why it has two sections. If you look you will see an internal heatsink section between the input and output sections. Also, look at how the fets are mounted, there is a reason every part was placed where they are. Like I said, it's not a matter of slapping two amplifier boards in a case with a common pre-out. That is a cheap way out and is done that way for that very reason. When you are dealing with China and Korea often you buy the stock board and the only way to build a larger amp is to double up boards. RF could have cheaped out and slapped a couple of boards in a case and called it good. I'm glad they didn't as the new amps are the best fit and finish, usability I have seen bar none.

Ok, now it makes more sense to me. Here is how I see it. Kinda like how home amplifiers have seperate preamps/control units etc. Doesn't mean it is 2 amps, just 1 amp made of 2 componant sections. Thank you for the explanation Tim.
